mine is 2009 era vintage but I’ve fell back into my old gear obsession ways hard.

helmet - Bauer 4500, white ear loops, Oakley low profile visor
Shoulder pads - Farrell’s
Elbow pads - some pro stock jofa’s
Pants - tackala 9000
Gloves - custom warrior franchises from 2009. Also have team gloves, Bauer 4 rolls that are shot and some eagles.
Shin pads - pro stock jofas
Skates - rbk 9k, 11k, one100’s. Been wearing the 9k’s mostly, going to wear one pair out at a time.
Sticks - down to a few left from my junior stash. U+ crazy lights, 70 flex, big toe curve. Also using a Sherwood n12.

my 11k’s are stock, the one100’s and 9k’s have custom tongues.

My U+'s are old but I never have noticed anything wrong with them. I honestly can't even tell if something is wrong and I 'should' be getting something new. I've been slowly converting to roller and floor hockey since the leagues are cheaper.

If you are playing on the ice 2-3 times a week, I think you can justify new skates. 10+ years on a pair of skates if your on the ice 2-3 times a week is a fair amount of usage. But if your down to once a week, I'd say just stick with the skates you have. When I got back into playing 5 years ago it was just once a week at first so I just used all my old gear. But once I got in with more groups and started playing more often, I felt like I could justify upgrading as my gear was fairly old.

here's a question for a majority of you. Even before COVID, my ice playing days have been going down over the years. Is it worth investing in new skates? My U+'s are old but I never have noticed anything wrong with them. I honestly can't even tell if something is wrong and I 'should' be getting something new. I've been slowly converting to roller and floor hockey since the leagues are cheaper.

I think after 10 years, you can justify new skates. Keep the old ones as backups and to use outdoors (if you ever get that opportunity where you live). You don't have to break the bank and spend a grand on new top end skates though. If you want top of the line you can look at new old stock clearance models as long as you can find something that fits you well.

I also think the new True retail line is a great value. They have the TF7 skates that are one piece fiberglass and extremely moldable for $329US or $400 CAD (sometimes cheaper on sale) and the TF9 which is a one piece carbon fiber boot for $600US/$700CAD (also sometimes goes on sale). The TF9 is basically the stock version of their custom skates that sell for over $1000. The top end non-custom CCM and Bauer skates are already over $1000 if you want current models. Just try on as much as you can, but I'd definitely consider the Trues.

Recently got a metal organizer to replace a similar plastic one that was gradually collapsing from the weight. Figured it'd be a fun excuse to gear flaunt. Unfortunately my car got stolen late 2019 and I had several goalie sticks and a nice pair of Adam Henrique pro return gloves get lost in the process.

Thanks to various sites, I've picked up several old Devils CCM practice jerseys from the late 90's / early 00's. The pair of Vaughn leg pads on the right are pro return Cory Schneider pads which are a bit too tall for me to use on the regular.

Crazy to think that it's been over a year since I suited up in net.

Everything else- Dunno...a good mix of 30+ years of gear (but, closer to the 30+ year old range)
Sweater- White and black...the only acceptable colours, especially if you play shinny. People who wear yellow should be kicked out

I also play goalie. A good mix of Brians, Vaughan, Bauer, Boddam, McMartin
