I never saw any promos and I don't watch Paramount, so I didn't know the new season started until episode 3. The network is happy with the ratings, but I can't believe how little they promote the show.

My wife loves this show, but it's a little too overwrought and soapy to me. And I can't get over the Batmanesque gravelly voice schtick Costner does.

My oh my I finally caught up and holy shit have the last 3 episodes just been something else. That entire rape scene was f***ing I don't even know how you can get through a scene like that I don't know how you can capture that level of brutality without the actors feeling some sort of way after that scene filmed. Episode 9 and that entire scene with Beth in the store just destorying that chick for profiling Monica is one of the many reasons I love this show an episode can turn in a way you weren't expecting just out of nowhere and it gets me literally having to rewing the episode to watch scenes like that 2/3 times over. This show definitely needs more recognition at least to the point where we for certain get 4 or 5 seasons.

I enjoy the show, but I have a few complaints:

1. Every woman on the show is gorgeous. That may seem like an odd thing to complain about, but it takes away from the realism of the show

2. Beth's dialogue is too over-the-top. Again, it takes away from the realism of the show because it's pretty clear her lines were written by a screenwriter

3. The actor who plays the lawyer/politician was awful this season. Overacted to the point where, you guessed it, it took away from the realism of the show

I’m actually quite interested to see what happens with Jamie’s character/story line

Yeah the shop owner wasn't too bright if she's a local as presumed, she should know retaliation will be swift and hard. The cops weren't too bright either, I like the way they disappeared so conveniently and let Beth rampage the store.

I kept fearing the kid was gonna get shot, but how long was the kidnapper waiting and how did he know the kid was coming out alone?

So why didn't they just kill Tate? What exactly was the point of kidnapping him?

And if someone was able to just hide at the ranch waiting for the kid to be alone, why not just give him a sniper rifle and have him shoot John?

Because they were trying to use him as leverage the same way they were using leverage to have the cops on their side earlier in the season. They didn't really care about killing John because they needed him to help stop the development of the new Casino which was the entire reason for their inclusion this season.

I didn't know this but the 2 guys that created the show are from the tv show Sons of Anarchy. One was an actor that played the cop David Hale and other other guy an exe producer on the show.

Was that the end of the series? Looked kinda finished, dead end.

no, it's been renewed for season 3.

Season finale is next Sunday...

I've held off watching this season so I can burn through all the episodes in a few days

I prefer that to having to wait a week for each episode...

john dutton (k. costner) plays the head of a rich family that controls a large ranch and land. he is threatened to lose everything to the government or other rivals. his mafia like approach to business causes for lots of problems and drama. his kids are competent, incompetent and crazy.

enjoyed the first season, binging now through season2, costner is great in this.
not sure where it airs as i am watching it via internet.
