I've always felt Sonya should have always been the one to turn face since I think it'd be easier for fans to get behind her. The only issue there is that the Otis storyline for obvious reasons would have had to be canned due to Sonya's sexual orientation. Sonya's promo last week killed it! You could really feel the passion and emotion in it, and it made me want to cheer for Sonya.
That all being said, the Otis storyline was tremendous! Mandy really played it off quite well. I just wish Many would change her music. The music she as now sounds like it belongs in a softcore porn scene.

I think they thought about that a ways back (Mandy fought Asuka at a PPV) but they nixed it, and haven't had much since then. You're probably right, especially Vince is always into pushing blondes as heels, but reportedly they came up with this idea and it got them on TV every week, and making the most of it.
I've always said that Sonya really is the total package in terms of getting a major push. She's improved massively since she first came into the company. She can work and make it look as physical as hell. She has marketability due to her personal story. And that promo work on Friday was great.
I like Mandy, but she's pretty limited.
Right now the Woman's division is in a bad slump, even Becky has become really stale and at times I think she's unlikeable. But it might be a mistake to push both Sonya and Shayna to the top of the card at the same time.

If you really wanted to make a super babyface, you'd have Baszler just destroy all of her competition including taking the title off of Becky, and then build up Sonya to dethrone her. You could book a very MMA-style match and build it up as Sonya being the one female on the roster that can match up to her (of course given if Ronda is still gone).
But I don't think they'll do that. Vince and his blondes lol.

Yes to Shayna, not so sure with Sonya. Mandy has her reasons to be kept around but shes not your champ. Shayna is the total package and Im not talking Luger.

Congratulations Becky I hope its not some Snitsky returns angle.
I've been saying the same thing, that I hope this isn't going to be some tasteless angle where a pregnant Becky becomes involved in some angle involving Seth. though I did laughingly tell a friend that I was waiting to either hear that Snitsky was the father but it wasn't his fault, or Snitsky would come wandering out with a baby carriage.
The bottom line is that the woman's division was becoming stale, and Becky becoming boring. This still rips a huge hole in the woman's division.

Hah, I didn't think she was actually pregnant (I don't pay attention to wrestling social media or stuff like that) and that it was simply in story
