Love it!

They had to get Trish to defend Toronto's honor though? Couldn't they get Edge or Christian out there?

Isn't Jericho Toronto a Toronto native as well? I forget.

Christian or Edge don't really do anything on camera (meaning promo or actual wrestling) anymore. Trish was likely there because she's Canadian AND they're doing an All-Womens PPV where she makes her big return -- get people used to her face again I suppose.

This is kind of Elias' thing everywhere he goes. From earlier this year:

No need to get in a twist TO fans

You also need to drop this "wrestling is for hicks" rhetoric when WWE was a north-eastern based company that got big with its roots in the northeast. Also it's huge in Japan, India, and sections of Canada so.
Well, someone here compared it to GoT, which is like comparing NASCAR to F1, so, its easy to make the assumption.

Jericho is a Winnipeg boy

@irunthepeg

Correct. Born in Manhasset, NY while his father Ted Irvine played for the Rangers, relocated to Winnipeg when his dad retired.

That's why he's been announced as being from both over his career.

It wasn't comparing it to GoT in quality it was to counteract the dumbass comment that "wrestling is fake" to wrestling fans who already know this. All scripted fictional programming on TV and film is fake, GOT was just being used as an example. So thanks, tips.

So when they punch or kick each other in the face, it's with the same impact and force as UFC?

No?

Then it's fake.
Not hitting as hard, isn't the the same as it being fake. Yeah, they don't try and hurt each other, but you see a guy tossed off a steel cage through a table, even with an airbag, that will hurt like a bitch. They are essentially professional stuntmen (and women) with their own tv show.

Wait - are you saying The Undertaker really isn't an undead mortician?
whats next, are you going to tell me The Godfather wasn't really a pimp?

Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi would like a word
well played

Exactly this, the NFL and professional North American football as a whole is much closer being for hicks than wrestling, as WWE is larger worldwide than the NFL
