I would not want to see Backstrom's slot on the pp end up with Vrana. That wouldn't work well at all. I don't think Backstrom is injured. I think the new system is causing him more adjustment than other players. It doesn't fit his game as well.

I thought Panik sustained a shoulder injury when he collided with Siegenthaler? If he had sustained a concussion, then he might have been out longer than 10 games.

Btw, Siege displayed some significant acceleration the moments I watched him do that to the loose puck. Big deal

Watch him play as a Cap longer than Kempny, Jensen and Gudas.

Panik is a concern. RW scoring depth is Boyd now. OTOH Boyd is capable.
