he is worth around 3-4M, so good number, but in 2 years he will be a 60p+ player with a high Iq and a great speed.
He will cost Wash 7M+, not good.

In like 2 years the cap is supposed to go up a lot with the new tv deal and in the next 2 years: backstrom, holtby and ovechkin are all up on their deals so if holtby is gone (samsanov ready) then there's like 7 mil there already before cap rise

They don't have much room to go beyond this. he's still an RFA at the end of the deal and Caps will probably have more flexibility in a couple years

Caps couldn't afford to fit a long-term deal into the 2019-20 salary cap. If it had been an $83M cap instead of a $81.5M cap, maybe. But it wasn't.
