Not that you can change it, but arm and stick length also affect your wrist shot.
I never had particularly strong wrists, forearms, core, etc. nor did I practice much before my wrist shot got good(relative to my competition/teammates). A decent technique and long stick and arms definitely helps. By the same token I think it makes stickhandling and puck control that much harder.
