Does anyone have the proper wrist shot technique to really flex that stick?

I want to get a nice wrister down, especially on the off wing. Ex. left wing shot for a right hander

Any tips appreciated

Bottom hand has to be over the top of your stick. That is where you will get a lot of "snap" on your wrister. If bottom hand starts to wrap under your stick, that "snap" or "whip" will be far less than it should be. Good wide base with your legs very helpful also, this is where the "oomph" behind a good wrister is generated.

So yeah, more "snap," "whip," and "oomph." Pro tips right there, boy.

Basically what this guy said. I'd like to add that sometimes, you'll find yourself shooting off the wrong foot. To get a lot of power while standing on one foot, you have to bring the puck as close as possible to your body before releasing it. Bringing the stick close to your body will force it to flex. This also applies when standing on both feet.
