I dont raid anymore. I just farm and goof around. I have paid for WoW with gold for monthly sub till aug 2020. and right now Im just casually farming and doing the odd WQ. Noway this game is done though. It's still insanely popular.
Out of curiosity, how?
I mean, I don't really go out of my way to farm gold, but I also don't spend it, and I have like 108k. Which isn't even enough for ONE token. How did you get enough for 24 tokens?
Yup, those who cba to level an alt at all are screwed with flasks and other consumables. Flask is required, but these guys complain that they can't afford a flask nor time to lvl an alt. They get cut off.Herbs, ore, flaskss and potion are always in high demand and high price when an expansion release. I made almost 3millions profit since bfa launched.
On the EU we are wondering if 7th Legion emissary cache that started today, will convert to 370 after wednesday's hotfix. Probably not. Still - not doing it unless sure. The emotional rollercoaster continues.
370 azerite cache from today's emissary. Time to finally get a 340+ shoulder.
Nope. I get the same helm I'm wearing...
The game is a casino at his point, sorry to say. If you're trying to pug this game with how bad the mythic+ dungeons can be when people don't know what to interrupt or stun - you will not enjoy it.I'm ilvl 350, I keep getting azerite ilvl 340 from the weekly cache which makes zero sense to me. But I got a ilvl 370 chest from the brainless arathi world boss? System is so random it's painful.
Last week I complete 3 mythic +3s and my loot was something like: nothing, rolled and got azerite. nothing, then rolled and got boots that weren't an upgrade. Got gloves that were actually an upgrade. Then my chest was azerite 340 which wasn't an upgrade. I don't play as much as others, but at this rate I feel it would take me 2 months to get to ilvl 360. (must be their design, huh?). Even worse I can't even sniff a +4 as an ilvl 350 I just get denied immediately.
I'm having more fun leveling my priest to 120 than trying to gear 350+ via mythic+/warfronts/WQs. I guess that's my own fault for not being in a great guild. I play randomly throughout the week so raiding is tough. Fingers crossed either friends are on or the PUGs know the mechanics.
Today was our first raid that was cancelled due to not enough players to participate. I expect this to get worse and worse as the game currently is just not worth paying money or even gold for.I feel like Bellular nailed it in his last video.
The game is becoming more Diablo than Diablo games. Just a slot machine that spits out a random piece of gear sometimes. The problem is you can only pull that slot machine's lever a very small amount of times in a week in WoW whereas you can pull it an infinite amount of times in Diablo.
Take the new azerite currency Blizzard is adding in 8.1 in an attempt to give more players more control over the azerite pieces they get as an example. Basically you'll get this currency in your weekly M+ cache and from scrapping/disenchanting azerite pieces. You can then spend that currency on a 355, 370 or 385 token that gives you a random azerite piece in a certain slot. Apparently it will take about two weeks to earn enough currency to buy a token for your item level.
So what happens when you buy one of these tokens and you get screwed by RNG and end up with a terrible azerite piece? Two weeks of currency straight into the scrapper. Like Bellular said, what kind of decent human would design a system to put another human through like that?

While I agree it's dumb that currency still has the RNG part, they also said you can buy specific pieces. For a higher price of course
It doesn't end. I have 5 x 385 Azerite piece from the weekly chest (I use 1 of them..) and 2 of them are the same shoulders that I don't use for ANY spec. When will the azerite trolling end?
I finally get 385 shoulders and they're the same ones I got in my second week at 355 with the absolute worst trait with no single target value.
Yeah, thankfully we have 3 people with a +10 keystone from the chest so I'll just soldier through one of those and that's it.M+ is so painful this week. Fort, Teeming, Explosive. I can't stand Explosive. I haven't had a pug make it past 3 or 4 trash packs into a dungeon yet haha. Seriously considering just not doing a key on any of my chars this week.
Then on top of that, we're progressing on M Zul right now and using the strategy where you stack a bunch of subtlety rogues and keep the adds alive. I'm firmly on the bench since it's basically impossible for me not cleave and kill all the crawgs as a WW monk.
I went ahead and pugged a +10 Waycrest Manor. Went like 2 mins over - not too bad considering the affixes, but I was glad I was the tank and not the healer (like usually).
