Out of curiosity, how?

I mean, I don't really go out of my way to farm gold, but I also don't spend it, and I have like 108k. Which isn't even enough for ONE token. How did you get enough for 24 tokens?

Herbs, ore, flaskss and potion are always in high demand and high price when an expansion release. I made almost 3millions profit since bfa launched.

Yup, those who cba to level an alt at all are screwed with flasks and other consumables. Flask is required, but these guys complain that they can't afford a flask nor time to lvl an alt. They get cut off.

I'll have to start just making flasks here soon. Fathom decks are starting to drop below 60k on my server while the rest are kind of a joke right now, so I probably won't be making any more cards here soon.

The azerite system continues to troll me.

I still have 340 shoulders on my 374 main.

Just got 370 shoulders on my alt with 20 hours played. I don't even have a high enough neck to get a single trait on it haha.

The emotional rollercoaster continues.

370 azerite cache from today's emissary. Time to finally get a 340+ shoulder.

Nope. I get the same helm I'm wearing...

On the EU we are wondering if 7th Legion emissary cache that started today, will convert to 370 after wednesday's hotfix. Probably not. Still - not doing it unless sure.

I expect it to remain 340 and the next emissary after will be tortollan for 700g. Maybe next week eh.

The convert happened in a hotfix last night. Changed my 340 box to 370 and I got an upgrade to the only slot I still had 355.

Seems a lot of people with high ilvl, around 365+ are seeing a 355 box. Could maybe be tied to their azerite neck ilvl - mine is 371 as I haven't done any world quests or island for azerite in 2 weeks or so.

I'm ilvl 350, I keep getting azerite ilvl 340 from the weekly cache which makes zero sense to me. But I got a ilvl 370 chest from the brainless arathi world boss? System is so random it's painful.
Last week I complete 3 mythic +3s and my loot was something like: nothing, rolled and got azerite. nothing, then rolled and got boots that weren't an upgrade. Got gloves that were actually an upgrade. Then my chest was azerite 340 which wasn't an upgrade. I don't play as much as others, but at this rate I feel it would take me 2 months to get to ilvl 360. (must be their design, huh?). Even worse I can't even sniff a +4 as an ilvl 350 I just get denied immediately.

I'm having more fun leveling my priest to 120 than trying to gear 350+ via mythic+/warfronts/WQs. I guess that's my own fault for not being in a great guild. I play randomly throughout the week so raiding is tough. Fingers crossed either friends are on or the PUGs know the mechanics.

The game is a casino at his point, sorry to say. If you're trying to pug this game with how bad the mythic+ dungeons can be when people don't know what to interrupt or stun - you will not enjoy it.

Personally, I'm a main healer, but as this expansion seems to suck out joy of every single player, I have ended up tanking more mythic+ than healed. When we cleared HC Uldir last week, I had tank spec and actually bonus rolled on both bosses to get a better tanking weapon (better than 340). As you can expect, I did not get a better tanking weapon - I received azerite power.

Our actual tanks mostly just log for raids, to keep the guild going.

This situation is not something that's new, but when it happens SO FAST after an expansion release, it should show some red flags at Blizzards HQ at least. Sadly it doesn't seem to.

They specifically deleted all alpha/beta feedback forums too, so they can claim no such report was made/players didn't disagree with what we're doing.

I've already installed Skyrim again, downloaded mods, done my Mythic+10 for the week and just have that 2-3 hour sunday raid to go to. f*** this game.

I ran out of stuff to do outside raids/one +10 on my main, so I leveled a mage from 110. After about two weeks on that character, I've ran out of stuff to do on it too.

This is unquestionably the worst expansion by a significant margin.

I decided to level a warrior from level 1 and actually quest instead of dungeon grind and I've been having fun going through all the old zones.

I feel like Bellular nailed it in his last video.

The game is becoming more Diablo than Diablo games. Just a slot machine that spits out a random piece of gear sometimes. The problem is you can only pull that slot machine's lever a very small amount of times in a week in WoW whereas you can pull it an infinite amount of times in Diablo.

Take the new azerite currency Blizzard is adding in 8.1 in an attempt to give more players more control over the azerite pieces they get as an example. Basically you'll get this currency in your weekly M+ cache and from scrapping/disenchanting azerite pieces. You can then spend that currency on a 355, 370 or 385 token that gives you a random azerite piece in a certain slot. Apparently it will take about two weeks to earn enough currency to buy a token for your item level.

So what happens when you buy one of these tokens and you get screwed by RNG and end up with a terrible azerite piece? Two weeks of currency straight into the scrapper. Like Bellular said, what kind of decent human would design a system to put another human through like that?

Today was our first raid that was cancelled due to not enough players to participate. I expect this to get worse and worse as the game currently is just not worth paying money or even gold for.

Personally, I have 3 x 385 azerite items, all for different slots too. Sadly they all have the same talent for my spec "Breaking Dawn" that is mildly usable if you have 1 (not great), and all of those pieces also have a bad neutral trait, so I'm using 2 x 370, one with Uldir stat stacking buff, other with a good trait for my spec and just one 385 item due to how it's partially useful. I cannot upgrade these items in any other way than having enough people to keep raiding, or mythic+ cache.

I do not see how any developer could think this is fun and exciting. This whole system is made with a single purpose. To keep you looting that weekly chest and paying your sub.

We lost tier pieces for this? For a weekly casino box?

While I agree it's dumb that currency still has the RNG part, they also said you can buy specific pieces. For a higher price of course

True, but by the looks of the PTR, they'll cost a little under triple the price of a random piece.

I don't think it's really going to feel that great to spend about six weeks collecting the currency just to get some bigger numbers on traits you likely already have.

The kicker here too is azerite pieces won't drop in M+ caches in 8.1, so this will be your only source for the highest item level azerite gear outside of raids.

When will the azerite trolling end?

I finally get 385 shoulders and they're the same ones I got in my second week at 355 with the absolute worst trait with no single target value.

It doesn't end. I have 5 x 385 Azerite piece from the weekly chest (I use 1 of them..) and 2 of them are the same shoulders that I don't use for ANY spec.

Game hates the player.

M+ is so painful this week. Fort, Teeming, Explosive. I can't stand Explosive. I haven't had a pug make it past 3 or 4 trash packs into a dungeon yet haha. Seriously considering just not doing a key on any of my chars this week.

Then on top of that, we're progressing on M Zul right now and using the strategy where you stack a bunch of subtlety rogues and keep the adds alive. I'm firmly on the bench since it's basically impossible for me not cleave and kill all the crawgs as a WW monk. :(

Yeah, thankfully we have 3 people with a +10 keystone from the chest so I'll just soldier through one of those and that's it.

Congrats on the progress and your spot on the bench next to the Shaman!

Our guild is on a break until 8.1 - last raid was like 1½ months ago. This type of stuff is common, but never happened so quickly.

I went ahead and pugged a +10 Waycrest Manor. Went like 2 mins over - not too bad considering the affixes, but I was glad I was the tank and not the healer (like usually).

It's a tough week for sure but not as bad as I thought. Need the melee dps to be on top of the explosives or it's RIP key. My Disc priest heals thank you. I ran a +8 freehold last night and +2'd it. Then we ran +10 Underrot and was over by 3 mins. That damn trash is the hardest part of the dungeon. We also ran a +9 motherlode, which was a struggle at about 15 minutes over. But mostly because we had to 4 man it since an asshole DPS left after Azerrok.

Just tried out some Heroic Uldir (5/8) and man is raid healing way different than mythic+. I definitely need to study up on those fights better though to really be effective.
