I follow Hockey Baseball and Football + I have other things going on. I don't get to follow everything that goes on in the NHL like I used to when I was a kid. Back then I could name everybody on every team and call out stats. Sorry man.
It's fine, it's just that Ottawas 1st round pick his been a big story for over a year now. It's all good.

They're all offense, no defense. It's pretty evident by their play style that they really only truly focus on the offensive side of things.

They play the same system as last year's Islanders.

It sucks to see Duchene go down after having a great start to the year. Obviously I hope Ottawa losses every game for the rest of the season, but not like this.

All offense no defense.

I saw some stat a couple weeks ago that showed Chabot was on the ice for 15-20 more goals for and against than anyone else in the nhl. Team just doesn't care about defense.

Boucher has his hands tied. Management told him he had to change his coaching style. Now the Sens are scoring lots, but are giving up 4.10 goals a game.

Its amazing how many goals you can play when players don't have to bother playing defense. I feel sorry for Craig Anderson though.
One thing though... Melnyk certainly is providing exciting hockey to watch.... like watching a basketball game... whoever scores last usually wins.

On the flip side.. Chabot has 31 pts in 29 games but still only has a +/- of -2.
For comparison, Giordano has 29 pts in 29 games and a +/- of +16, Morgan Reilly has 31 pts in 29 games and has a +/- of +14, and John Carlson has 29 pts in 27 games and a +/- of +14.

Are the Sens ruining him?

I'm going to guess that with Duchene out indefinitely, the games will be a lot less exciting for Ottawa.
