Yep, after all it's not like McDavid is going to win it this year. Season's underway and he's on pace for ZERO points. Seriously, this guy is generational?

No, he won't. But he will set his personal best, methinks. He is a fantastic player.

Including playoffs, he has 72 points in his last 55 games going back to the all-star break. That's a pace 107 points. Good enough for 2nd in the NHL last season.

Going back to the beginning of last season has 117 points in 104 games. That's a 92 point pace. Good enough for 7th in the NHL last year.

Whether he wins or not is an open question. Whether it would be surprising if he continues to do what he's been doing for 12 months is not.

thank God we didn't have this board and thread back in the mid-late 90s. Brian Savage would have been winning the Art Ross every October.
