You chose the latter.

Perhaps your first statement would've been slightly less ridiculous if you'd said, "he has pretty much been Blake Wheeler, provided you ignore a lot of Wheeler's points."

Wait...no still ridiculous. And, it's insane to think that people should read what you actually said and interpret it to mean #1 above. It sheds no light on anything, just discounts Wheeler in a bizarre way.

and in this case the jets have been better

Once again, the argument has not been about which team is having the better regular season this year. You keep trying to make it this though and nobody is arguing that the Jets have more points than the Leafs.

Surprisingly, the play of 4 depth players is not the definitive factor on how many points a team gets in the regular season.

The Jets have 3 more wins this season, not really a huge difference. Both teams have had great seasons but congrats I know those 3 wins mean a lot to you.
