I wanted us to make the playoffs and sign them out of retirement.

That would have been interesting, but even with the Sedins a long playoff run wasn't likely to happen considering our records against the teams in the playoffs in the West, except Calgary. So, would be kinda pointless really to ask them to come back out, just to lose quickly.
