It is not just his systems needing overhaul...but his ability to get his relied on highly paid vets to all buy-in again ...sense of mission and core leadership went awry ..there cannot be 1 group of coddled vets and Q's usual short leash for the youngsters and newbies ..We cannot have cliques ..they must ALL Co evtogethercas a TEAM .. IF Q can work that miracle and they all "buy-in" on a mission then they will be successful and he will stay..If he fails to change the entitled culture of his high paid vets ...the "Country Club" sense of security and so obvious "been there done that ,why exert?" mentality, then he gone ..It should manifest early ..before mid-season. ..If we see a purpose and mission by ALL rather than SOME just punching a clock and waiting to flip a switch to win for 5 minutes or just 1 period of a 3 period game ...then he will see winningresults and stay..but if not ....he gone...So will he get credit for a turnaround...yes. ..Will he be blamed and canned if the fail continues ? Of course! AND so Q is on a short leash to fix his mess ..The Country Club and codglingnof his previous "core" has got to stop. ..Leaders must emerge to get the grunts to buy-in..If the supper cast sees so many high-priced "stars" fail with incompetent or disinterested play Then there never will be any culture change from Q's Country Club. .

The eye test will be full 60 Team and in visual play and responsibility ..The work ethic must be on display by all. .not some wait for 5 minutes of exertion and good play, flip a switch and hope you have done enough to win the game. .You cannot have a so called top line when $16.5 million combined from you by and 1LW are producing so little ..They must buy in and actually produce. ..You cannot have your 2 top vetvdmen earning over $12 million combined with 1 of them still playing top minutes and going -29 and the other starting the first 20 games of the season looking totally incompetent like he should no longer be in the league then playing better the last 62 games irksome but still only at a level far far below his cap hit and still looking quite immobile . #2 needs to buy in again to a compete level and total focus and #7 cannot use the first 29 games to get into better shape but must drop some weight to get more mobile to be ready to move again from the get-go. .

.Now if all these fails of last season cone back to actually star again then Q will get credit. BUT if we see the same putrid play from them then Q gone by mid-season and we will be in the Jack Hughes sweepstakes.

sure the blackhawks being good again next season has the sames odds as winning the lottery...gotchaaa.

not in a quantitative sense no. But in the general sense... there is little reason to predict much of a turn-around --- if one defines a turn-around as going from where the Hawks were(are) to a legitimate Cup contender --- say a top 4 team, a team that is in the conference championship at least... well...

That is exceedingly unlikely to the extent that one should in absolutely no way remotely expect it. Just like when is foolish enough to buy a lottery ticket --- they should in no way expect to win. This roster, this coach --- expect much the same as last year... or maybe 5-6 or 7 slots up in the NHL overall (which would constitute improvement and is perhaps likely) ---but that is far, far short of a turn around and leaves the Hawks well short of being a contender. A turn around to a contender is almost certainly not going to happen (unless major roster and/or coaching differences happen). In that sense talking of a turn around is like talking of spending lottery winnings.

As I said...Q will get credit IF the team and it's core stars all bounce back this season..but Keith turns 35 July 16th ..
So you still believe can perform a miracle and get that -29 back to + 25 or even to just Even again? Is Keith still our #1 LD and capable of even 75% of his once great all-star for? I am very skeptical he can "bounce back" or that 33 year old Seabrook can get any more speed and mobility ..or that Toes still cares enough to exert for 80% of the time instead of just 20% of the time ..Yhe 1 bounce back guy I still have hope for is Saad who has no age excuses and no outrageous overpay to $20.5 excuses like Tires does...A $6 million guy at his age ought to still produce at least 55 points range ..So he certainly will have or should have more "nornal" shooting g % and less bad luck...so expect 25-30 goals and about 56 points...even if Toes pulls another barely 9verv50 points season.

But is a bounce-back from just 1 of the 4 disappointed tents 9f last season enough to give Q much credit? I doubt it. .Je would need at least 3 of these 4 to have outstanding seasons...not gonna happen..So the nobly other way it happens is IF CC stays healthy and plays at an elite level in net ,AND if there bus elevated production from all the other guys on the team ...Kane will need 90-100 points
.Schatz has to go from his level to 70-80 points..D-day needs to add 10 goals and 20 assets more ..etc. ..etc..It just looks undo able ..
