he had a career year prior to his UFA, so it wasn't surprising of what he was going to get. People predicted somewhere around a 6 million dollar deal and that's what he got.

He definitely didn’t have a career year it was like his 4th or 5th best year, he’s getting paid the same as Lucic and Lucic has out performed him, his contracts worse.

I love that the Canucks have him, though. He's so soft and useless, like a 14 year old boy, playing against adults, who's 5-foot-5 ducking all the physical contact he can. Now watch him be an Oiler killer... Not my fault!
