Hrmmmm just wondering why you would pick Poti over Rafalski?

I am also in the process of doing Czech Republic.

It depends with who he's played.
Tverdovsky is Ukrainian too but has played for Russia.

Fedotenko is for real Ukranian though, he played with Ukrane in the olympics

I don't think Hasek will play during the World Cup. No inside info or anything, I just don't think it will happen.

Also I think you'll see Modry over Pilar or Frank Kaberle

I think Primeau will get a spot on Team Canada.

Fedotenko can't play for Russia, he plays for the Ukraine.

For Russia, I can't see Antropov getting a spot. Alexei Zhamnov has to be on their team.

I can't see Boucher getting a spot. Either Dunham or John Grahme

now, here!
Team Finland

If theres no injuries or declines:

It´s not hard to guess who are the goalies:
Nurminen
Kiprusoff
Noronen

I hope eather Nurminen or Kipper will play well enough.

Also very easy to predict the defense.
Niinimaa-Timonen
Lydman-Pitkänen
Berg-Salo
+ Numminen(if healthy, Berg out) ,Väänänen

Forwards:
Kuhta-Koivu-Lehtinen
S Kapanen-T Ruutu-Selanne
Nieminen-Jokinen-Hagman
J Ruutu-Pirnes-Laaksonen
+ Hahl, N Kapanen, Pärssinen

The problem is, there´s only one solid goal scorer (Selänne) and he hasn´t been that solid recently. I dont think the coach Raimo Summanen is very happy seeing Kuhta on the team so, his team is probably something like this:

Selänne-Koivu-Lehtinen
S Kapanen-Jokinen-Hagman
Nieminen-T Ruutu-Hahl
J Ruutu-Pirnes-Laaksonen

Well anyway Team Finland has speed and skill, but they lack size and leadership. If they win Sweden in some thight game, the team spirit can lift them quite high.

The roster Russia should ice:

Kovalchuk/Datsyuk/Zherdev
Samsonov/Fedorov/Kovalev
Frolov/Zhamnov/Kozlov
Brylin/Nikolishin/Chubarov
Kovalenko/Korolyuk/Ovechkin

Malakhov/Gonchar
Zubov/Zhitnik
Kalinin/DMarkov
Tverdovsky/Tyutin

Nabokov/Khabibulin/Bryzgalov

- First two lines are pure offense

- Third line is more compact - all-around

- Fourth line is pure checking and a lot of energy

- Very capable extras - a mix of youth and experience

- The blueline is very strong. A mix of skill and brawn. Some youth to boot as well.

- Goaltending is excellent. Nabokov should start.

The only problem is that they will probably ice a crappy lineup with a bunch of crappy RSLeaguers.

0% chance of seeing Zherdev on that team, still quite a bit of bad blood between him and the Russians.

Because someone is going to need to match up with Mike Modano, Sergei Fedorov, Peter Forsberg etc. And Peca is one of the best in the business at it.

Marleau's time will come, I think he'll be on the 06 Olympic Team.

Oh, I agree. But that is what my team would be.

Well, probably not zero chance, but let's just say that most people would be suprised.
