the US-Canada game was unbelievable. It was like the playoffs. Can't believe it was "just" an exhibition game, and the first one for both teams (!) scary.

Give the players a chance to get in game shape. Look at Getzlaf. He ain't there yet.

Hurts to know there isnt a "Mathews esque" talent at the top this year unless someone majorly breaks out.

From what I read he has jumped right in with some of the best players in the NHL already and not looked out of place.

Meanwhile the No. 2 pick has been underwhelming in Laine.
