Will Boeser get an invite for the U.S. team? And what about Markstrom for Team Sweden? Edler has represented Tri=Kronor in the past, but without a contract for next season, he'd probably decline.

And finally what happens to Pettersson, who played in this tournament last year? I'm sort of torn. On the one hand, this tournament did wonders for Quinn Hughes last year. But most of the rest of the Canucks have had a long, trying season filled with injuries and a lot of losing. Might be better for them just to get on their off-season workouts.
Players without contracts generally do not play. No advisable.

So no brock or Edler. Even granlund won’t play. Business first.

This is honestly laughable. Can this player get more pathetic?

What's so pathetic about being a world class athlete? So much so that you're asked by your country to represent them in a world championship level.

I'm not a granlund fan either but I'd hardly call him pathetic for that accomplishment.

What have you and me done on that level that can compare to that ?

So the Canucks have good representation so far
USA: Hughes/Demko (Schneider)
Sweden: Pettersson/Markstrom/Eriksson
Canada: Stetcher

I am being a bit lazy about this, but does anybody know an approximate average of the number of Canucks that usually go and play in a World Championships? Is this an unusual number for Canucks at a a World Championship?
