1-0 Japan a little over a minute in. To quote Russel Peters "Someone gonna get a hurt real bad."

I am pleasantly surprised at the level of hockey being played here.

A friend of mine played on the first Team Japan in the Olympics in 1998 and boy have they come a long way.

4-1 Japan final with both sides making history! This might be the last time these two play this Olympics depending on how the classification round goes.

Entertaining game by both teams.
While I feel Japan is ahead in terms of overall play, the Koreans seem to have stronger shooters, just need more opportunities.
Korea also has an amazing goalie in Shin, her athelitecism and puck tracking are on point.

That said the potential for both teams is amazing and I will definitely continue to follow them. 4 years is too long of a wait!

What a game!

Congrats to both Korea and Japan. Japan was obviously the more skilled and experienced team but Korea fought hard and made it feel like it could have gone either way. They really gave everything they had.

There is a lot of potential with Korea (South Korea?). I hope their government will decide to continue to nurture their development post-Olympics.

Also, shout out to Shin for her MVP performance.
