I've been sayin this for years. It would boosts the tourneys popularity in places where it isnt that popular and would just be a thrill to watch. It would be wicked to see the skills of the future NHL'ers whereas you would have to wait until the all-star game for a good skillz-comp.

For me it would turn the great tourney it is into the feel of an all-star weekend.It is a very intense competition with high stakes and i don't think this idea lends itself to adding to that.Coaches would probably have none of it either as it takes focus off what they are there to accomplish.

Just my opinion but nay to skills comp at this thing.

I think the tournament schedule is compressed enough to add another day for a skills competition, especially considering these players are drawn from other hockey programs (major junior, college, pro) to play in it.
