solid d-corps and weak offense in my eyes.

missing players

Goalies :
Brízgala "98 born" (injured, clearly number one)
Å karek (late 99 born) is missing because of Hc Dukla Jihlava needs in their play-off for top tier league.

Vomáčka is in team right now. (99 born)

F - Kofroň is injured...

Anyone else ?

camp nomination :

Goalies:
Josef Kořenář (Jihlava), Dominik Groh (Ml. Boleslav), Tomáš Vomáčka (Mountfield HK).

Hopefully they don't cut Zadina... :help:
Offense is non-existent, only notables are Zadina, Reichel and Najman. If we get all Dmen from CHL (Hajek, Budik, Vala and Kachyna) defense could be very good. But it won't make up for the forwards and goalies. (Seriously, Brizgala, by far our best U18 goalie gets injured and Skarek, who is imo the second best can't participate. Our starting goalie will be either average Korenar or under-age Vomacka. So sad)

I was hoping they would invite more 99 forwards... Necas, Safin, Kern etc. It can't be worse than 98's after all.
I will be shocked if they make it past quaterfinals. (I mean, this team will probably have trouble beating Slovakia and Denmark...)

Really strong D unit. You can debate all day if Doudera's tools are 'pro' caliber, but he is a leader at his age group and is a great lynchpin for Hajek, Budik, Vala to surround. Majority of the D should have urgency to answer some Q's about their game here.

Below average F unit with a lot of weight placed on the shoulders of a select few. Reichel doesn't deliver like his skill sometimes suggests. Najman competes well and has enough skill, but he can't do it alone. Zadina should absolutely make this team.

Pavel Kousal is a favorite who is an underrated prospect. An early comparison is he's like a slightly less potent Abramov. He's small, but gritty, speedy, and can create out of thin air.

As mentioned by wooren, the absence of 99 forwards makes little sense given the poor quality of 1998 for forwards. If Zadina gets invited, then I don't understand the omission of necas.

Expected line-up against Finland

Kořenář (Groh)

Hájek - Doudera
Vála - Budík
Kachyňa - Kvasnička
Novák - Sirota

Zadina - Reichel - Pavlík
Kantner - Najman - Kousal
Zachar - Kodýtek - Havelka
Bělohorský - Karafiát - Kurovský

Loving the defensemen pairs, but man, can you tell me how is Pavlik on the 1st line...? Rather put there someone like Karafiat or Kurovsky. Gods help us with that goaltending. :help:

surprisingly I think Czech has one of the top defensive units in the tournament. Zadina on the first line should be fun, looks like a pretty weak crop of forwards overall though
