    Kravtsov on Wahlstrom
"In the semifinals there is a good chance to meet with the United States. He has a curious background: the Americans include Oliver Wahlstrom, who after the draft said that the Rangers made a mistake by taking Kravtsov over him at 9th overall. Vitali remembered it. “Oliver is somehow too narcissistic about himself,” says Kravtsov. “Let's see what he shows at the World Junior Championships. Is he as good as he says? But I don’t dwell on Wahlstrom. Of course, I much more want to win this tournament, to prove to everyone and to myself, and not to Wahlstrom or conditional Canadians, that we, including myself, are capable of anything. Vatanen said Finland will beat Russia. These words passed to Yevgeny Kuznetsov. As a result, we won and that quarter-finals, Kuznetsov scored from under Vatanen and said that one Chelyabinsk is bigger than the whole of Finland. I like that."

U.S. of A better leave it all out on the ice for this game , 110% and all that . This is a brilliant opportunity for the U.S. and I think they'll get it done 3 - 2 Yanks. Good Luck ...

USA better come out ready to go. We’ve had a few games where they took some time to turn it on, but that will not work against Russia. Russia’s skill really scares me. We need to be on it from pick drop. I hope Wahlstrom steps up after hearing Kravtsovs quote.

I will be watching from the restaurant at USA Hockey Arena here in Plymouth. The NTDP U17 team has a game at 7pm, so I will be going from one Team USA game to another.

    Go USA!

This will be the best game of the tournament.

No disrespect to the Fins or the Swiss but US/Russia should go down as one the best junior games in a long time.

I expect hard hitting, intense, fast and some nastiness in this game.

Cheering for the US but Russia won't be a pushover.

The US has actually won 3 in a row against Russia as they beat them twice in the 2017 tournament. Still, they’ve traditionally had a very hard time against Russia so I wouldn’t say the recent success guarantees anything.

To be honest the US team scares Russian expert more than Canada does. Their youth development program at U18 level is amazing and no wonder its starting to translate to U20

Agreed. I think this game is a toss up. The U.S. will need a strong effort to win.
