With the Medvedev signing, is the Flyers defense depth at least average?

They signed a guy who has never played in the NHL and their best D from last year is another year older, going to be 38

How have they so noticeably improved over last season with this?

Still looks well below average. A #2/3 and a group of #5-8s.

If they don't manage because of the salary cap to pick up a #2-3# D this class they will have a hard time making the playoffs. Great forwards however weak defense. And goaltending looks solved.

as a pens fans it's tough to admit but the Flyers defence will be great in a couple of years with Morin , Sanheim , Ghost , Hagg coming up..
