He could be a decent pick. At 3rd round I don't expect much, but you never know. I can live with a prospect in the 3rd round that only real knock is skating speed. Especially if they are still good skaters. I like the pick.

shocked he was available that late. this is a good pick for you guys

on a side note, this kid's parents run a rink in Anaheim not too far from where I live. kid has clearly been around the game since day 1

Neat. Not that I've seen him play at all this year, but he's been putting numbers very similar to Sokolov's. 16G-17A in 31 GP, compared to Sokolov's 18G-16A in 30GP.

52 points in 48 games. A bit behind Sokolov's output, but he is 16 months younger. Haven't had a chance to see him.

Didn't make the Iowa roster, and didn't report to the ECHL team. Sounds like the end of the road for this guy, at least in the Wild organization.

I somewhat wonder if he got ac fair Shake going to the KHL last year.

Wasn't BGs pick. Did he just toss him aside like Menell.

They let him go to the OHL to play as a true overager rather than have him in Iowa the year before that too.

I don't think he's a tossed aside player. I think he is more of a product of a stacked Erie team and it padded his stats to make him look better than he really was.

TBF there isn't much to complain about when your 1st pick is 85oa.

I didn't like this pick then, but it's more luck than skill at that point in the draft.

Oh course but still nice to find at least some depth options like a Duhaime in the lower rounds.

Well there is a 5th rounder that's doing pretty well for us now. SEA took another 5th rounder in the expansion draft. Our backup goalie is a 4th rounder. Counting Duhaime that covers 4 straight drafts.
