a 24th overall pick that actually played in the NHL for a few years isnt a bust

How many 24th overall picks actually have more than average NHL careers?

Just looking at the 2000-2011 drafts, the 24th overall picks were

2000: Brad Boyes - scored 505 points in 822 games. Played over 10 years in the league, but had a pretty decent career before falling out of the league at age 34.
2001: Lukas Krajicek - Meh defenseman with 328 games in 8 seasons.
2002: Alexander Steen - 822 career games and a career top 6 forward and still active in the NHL
2003: Mike Richards -749 games over 11 seasons. Top 6 center for all but the last two years of his career. Fell off a cliff at 30 years old and his career is over and ended prematurely, but still pretty good for the first 9 or 10 years. 487 points in 749 NHL games.

2004: Kris Chucko - 2 career NHL games. Tedenby probably has him beat.
2005: TJ Oshie - Career top 6 forward with 417 points in 591 career NHL games. Still active in the NHL.
2006: Dennis Persson - 0 NHL games played. I'll give Tedenby that one too.
2007: Mikael Backlund - Had a slower start to his NHL career, but has turned into a pretty good 2nd liner. Still active in the NHL.
2009: Marcus Johansson - Pretty good second line player. 501 career NHL games played and still active
2010: Kevin Hayes - Only 3 years in the league so far, but an okay 2nd line guy I guess. 234 games played and still active.
2011: Matt Puempel - Only 78 career games so far. Might last longer in the NHL than Tedenby and might not. I'd say they're either even or maybe I'll give Tedenby the edge there. Puempel doesn't look like anything special.

Out of the 24th overall picks from 2000-2011, only 2 have played fewer games than Tedenby in the NHL. None of these players are gonna be nearly HOF worthy or anything. Not even close, but most had better careers in the NHL than Tedenby. The 24th pick specifically is probably a crapshoot though. If we looked at picks 21-25 over all those years, we might find a lot more players who had lesser NHL careers than Tedenby.

He should be brought up. Enough with Neusen.
If he's coming up to replace Noesen, that would not be a good thing at all, considering that Noesen has been a healthy scratch for half the games.

JQ should be on the team when he is healthy if Gibbons can move over to RW and/or MJ is still out. Noeson, Hayes and Wood should not be in the top 9 IMO.
