A Russian, I'm surprised. It's like the 2nd ever he's drafted?

@CoreyPronman Minnesota takes Dmitry Sokolov. Came in to season as a potential top ten pick. Conditioning an issue but still scored 30 on a bad team.

According to NHL.com, the kid is 5'11", 220lbs. :amazed:

Conditioning may be an issue; that extra 20lbs probably isn't all muscle.

So we picked a 7th rounder with our 4th, and a 4th rounder with our 7th?

I'm so jealous you guys picked him. Also, pretty sure he's 6'2? Was thought to be a top 10 talent before the season started, had a dislocated shoulder most of the year which explains his lack of finish and inconsistency, still scored 30 though. Guy could be a total steal for you, nice pick if you get him into shape.

Hopefully. I can't find anywhere he's listed above 5'11".

What, do they score a lot of goals in the OHL? Bad defense?

OHL is known for offense. WHL is known for defense.

Generally, it's Junior hockey. Think similar to high school. Defensive instincts aren't quite developed in players at that level yet.

OHL,WHL,USHL and QMJHL have a level of play that is of significantly higher quality than high school leagues.
