I did a research paper on B-ALL, and while it is very aggressive there is also a really high rate of remission. He's kind of old to be getting it, it's mostly a younger child's disease, but while adult remission rates are lower (15% or so) he would still be considered more a child than a fully matured adult.

I hope he fully recovers, he definitely has the right attitude that will help fight the disease.

""He could have come in here with the attitude of 'Hey, I'm just happy to be here', which would have been totally understandable," Eakins said. "But he came in with some obvious resilience and drive. Instead, he said 'Hey, I'm going to get better today.'

""I will say, I was amazed at how fit he was. I was amazed at how strong he was. What stood out to me in his game was his drive on the ice. He was going full tilt out there every time. He's a big guy and he can really shoot the puck, too.""

""I would not be the one," Eakins said, "betting against that young man.""

Get to the NHL, Will
