Thought Hnidy was going to really tune him up when I saw the title, props to Wiz.

Clear win for Wiz. Hnidy probably should have got an instigator on that one, but apparantly the Bruins are exempt from such a penalty.

Pretty gutsy for Wiz to fight since he had been wearing a cage mask for quite a while due to a facial injury. And pretty idiotic of Peverly to turn at the last second when he knew he was going to get hit. Is getting a PP really worth possibly getting seriously injured?

I can't believe the Bruins are wasting a roster spot on Hnidy. What, the first time around wasn't bad enough?

Wiz was jumped at by Hnidy over the hit...no problem with that. Wiz knew once he ran into peverle that he was called, didn't want to hit him like that but Peverle made a move at the last second looking to make space for himself to get a play to the line or to the centre, didn't work. Hnidy stepped up for a teammate (good on him). Wiz didn't have time to take off the visor (1st game without a cage I might add) as Hnidy came at him (same deal as White vs Boychuck).

Wiz won the fight (just). Had Hnidy destroyed him, the game might have taken a different tone, but thankfully Wiz was able to stand up for himself and show some spine.

And as for the instigator, the refs wanted to ensure that BOS got the PP due to the boarding call, that I can live with as well. It makes sense to ensure the more dangerous play gets the extra 2min.

Thank you. Nice to see someone can actually analyze a hockey situation correctly without falling into bias. I like this guy.

Bout 2 of the series - Pouliot vs Ference

Appologies for the over the top commentary and the obvious mistakes they made, but it's the only clip I could find.

Closer than the first fight, but I'd give the edge to Ferrence in this one. Props to him for taking on the bigger man and defending his teammate after the Pouliot flying elbow attempt. As a Hab fan, I hope this is the last we see of Pouliot in this series and that Halpern is ready to go next game.

Honestly, I have NO idea how people in Boston can tolerate that announce team. Just watching that had me wanting to throw something at my computer, I couldn't imagine a full game.

They rant and rave about no penalty when there WAS a penalty ("there was no arm up after that hit..."...yes, there was), they get into Pouliot's struggles, blah blah. It's just...bad.

Having said that, I kinda gained respect for Pouliot for making an attempt to get his helmet off.

Gotta say, those announcers are hysterical. I've never heard anything so absurd in hockey. You've got to wonder whether they rub off on some B's fans.

I have the same problem whenever I'm looking for a Habs/Ruins fight. I like Pouliot but he's been a big dissapointment this series, he's lucky he didn't connect on that hit. But as for "being one of the biggest dissapointments in the history of the league" not sure I agree with Edwards on that one.

Wiz/Hnidy fight was decent, definitely a clear win for Wiz but still had good action.

Couldn't pay attention to the second clip, too busy laughing at the Boston commentators, Jack Edwards is the worst commentator in NHL history by far. Unbelievable that the fans put up with these tools IMO.

Best of all we witnessed a solid fight, and Wiz gave Hnidy an atta boy tap at the end...even in the playoffs some players have respect for one another

That wasn't even an attempted hit. Pouliot just doesn't have the leg strength to stop himself at that speed so he had to use the boards to his advantage. I'm not even joking when I say that, Pouliot's skating is awwwfuulllll and he falls down so many times a game.
