Hahaha, I knew all that "oh I don't really care about Arizona I'm just playing, you guys" from the megathread was all bluster. actions betray emotions.

Outdoor games this season:

Winnipeg: 1

Arizona: 0

Stay warm

So outdoor games is your Canadian excuse?

Okay, let's do it again without the outdoor game: Winnipeg 102% of capacity, Arizona 85% of capacity.

I'm nice and warm, thanks. It's 22C here in Dallas.

Might want to add a little context.....
Hockey capacity:

Bell MTS Place (Winnipeg) = 15,321'

Gila River Arena (Arizona) = 17,125

Does your ability to add context comprehend the fact that percentage of capacity already takes into account the total seats available?

Or perhaps you prefer:
Winnipeg metropolitan area - 780,000
Phoenix metropolitan area - 4,740,000 of which only 14,500 on average attend NHL hockey.

At least Winnipeg and most Canadian cities had (or have) long sellout streaks to begin with.

Many teams south the 49th do as well but Coyote fans should be among the last people to make comments on this matter.

A little late to this thread but I think there are few reasons for this.

1. The Jets farm team share the building. The AHL in a weekend league. The last few years have seen fewer Friday and Saturday games to accommodate the Moose schedule.
2. TNSE no longer allows ticket holders to leave the building and re-enter. Folks are not happy about that.
3. They have moved game times to 7:00 from 7:30. There are a significant amount of ticket holders outside of the city limits. It might only be 30 minutes but if you live outside of the city that extra 30 minutes is a big deal if you want to get downtown, parked, something eat and drink then your seat before puck drop.
4. Concessions are the most expensive in the league!

Just my opinion.

Wait, are you arguing that 123% of capacity is an accurate figure?

ESPN fails to distinguish stadium games, they just plug in total attendance against the capacity of Bell MTS Place, ignoring that there was a stadium game thrown in there. They also list Bell MTS's capacity as 15004 rather than 15325 for some reason.

The accurate figure for Jets home games to date would be 152421/153250 = 99.3%

I mean if you want to add more context we should look at seat price, metro size, etc. but this is just a stupid dick-measuring contest.

The fans have still been coming out for the Jets, I think we are hitting the max for ticket prices though and if TNSE continues with 5% increases attendance will suffer. I still haven't had too much selling tickets at STH price, but have had some games not sell, which is new.

You're right, of course, which is why I didn't refer to the Coyotes' two for one promotions, free tickets, etc. Given how The Legend responds in his Alex Merulo site, I didn't want to upset him further.

We're going west to Goodyear, AZ on Friday morning where we've always received the warmest of welcomes by the friendly people of Phoenix. The amazing Mrs. Moose has friends to see at Luke and I always love McFadden's.

Besides, my dick isn't that big any way.

If you both had been paying attention upthread you would realize I’m actually supportive of the Jets’ situation.

You both should also know I’ve been through all the tit for tat sniping about ticket prices and such so many times that it’s become boring.

And if I wanted to continue this by go into the area of how TNSE gets all sorts of hidden subsidies in the form of tax breaks ( where the Coyotes don’t right now) and so on and so on you begin to realize just how pointless it is to get into a sizing up each other’s keyboards.

I'm not sure what tax breaks have to do with how many people buy tickets, but I will confess that this tablet has a very small keyboard.

Or maybe it's just that my dammed hoofies are too large for these keys?

Either way, I'm sure you'd win any measuring contest. (And the amazing Mrs. Moose tells me to put this tablet away now...)

Yep, years in the past.

In fact, the Coyotes haven't done one on their Twitter feed since way back on Nov 15, 2019.

...for which you obviously and unsurprisingly didn't read the details.. that ambassador program, those "free tickets" are essentially your commission for convincing your friends to buy tickets ....through Ticket master.

Again, unsurprising. So what was the one before that, hm?

Wow. It seem like this thread has become the new Megathread in the past 24 hours after being bumped by a Coyotes fan ironically.

Yes there were 2 games that did not sellout. Very likely caused by a province wide state of the emergency but the sellout streak still ended.

Now the Jets are in the midst a new sellout streak.... currently at 6....7 if one includes the Heritage Classic. What's the current streak in AZ?

Maybe it's time to either lock this one up....maybe rename it s general attendance thread as it seems many teams that have been traditionally strong are under.

So, if your “friend” buys a ticket, you get a free ticket? Looks like a 2 for 1 deal to me..:)
I will admit that I did not read the details, maybe you have to get 100 friends to buy a ticket to get a freebie, if that is the case then my apologies. But if it is in fact my first impression, then

Wow, the whole rogues gallery is coming out for this one. All we're missing is mesa.

Yes, it's more than 2. Significantly. Again, unsurprising you didn't read it, nor did the camelid that liked your response, probably. Just leapt to conclusions, as ever.
