A Button blurb :

Jamie Phillips (Michigan Tech – Winnipeg 2012 7th Round – 190th overall)

He's the winningest goalie in the NCAA this season with 28 victories and is third in save percentage and goals-against average. The Huskies have been one of the top teams this season and Phillips' play in the net has been a big reason. A big man in the net, Phillips is very good at anticipating the play. He closes down the net quickly, leaving the shooter with little time or room to beat him. Phillips, a member of the Pembroke Lumber Kings 2011 RBC Championship team run by current Sault Ste. Marie coach Sheldon Keefe, is another key player for the Jets in what is arguably the best class of prospects in the NHL.

They burned the first year of his ELC, probably part of Chevy's hard press. I wonder if he gets any NHL action.

In the long run it is worth it. Pad the kid's pocket a bit. Let him be part of the team and start getting a feel for the pro game. In a perfect world we are home and cooled and he gets a game at the end of the season. All way better options then if he went back to college.

A lot of nuances but bottom line is you don't risk him being a FA .

Lots of reasons for Copp to like , want to sign with Winnipeg , this sets him up to show his game , his character to Maurice especially and that's a positive . It also gets him a taste going into the summer regardless of what unfolds.

Jamie Philips and Michigan Tech should be coming on TSN Go right away per http://www.bellmedia.ca/pr/press/ts...5-ncaa-mens-division-ice-hockey-championship/

Thanks for the heads up, though I am to lazy to figure out how to get TSN Go. As of now, here's the Jets' prospects broadcast schedule:

-Minnesota [Jack Glover] vs. Minnesota Duluth @ 4:30 p.m. CDT on TSN3
-Quinnipiac vs. North Dakota [Tucker Poolman] @ 7 p.m. CDT on TSN3

Saturday, March 28

-RIT vs. Minnesota St. Mankato [C.J. Franklin] @ 3 p.m. CDT on TSN1

You're not missing much. Right as OT was starting, the feed cut out and now it just says "Live coverage will resume shortly"

...k

I actually did figure it out and five minutes into overtime it cuts to the TSN3 game feed, then goes to a 'Live coverage has concluded: thanks for watching' screen.

What a **** show.

Hahah I just tweeted out:

#NHLJets prospect Jan Kostalek wins Kevin Lowe trophy for best defensive defenseman in QMJHL. Also means he knows a thing about winning.

Great news!

Any word on whether Ehlers picked up any QMJHL hardware?
