Hawks are always winners. I don't know if they even have a scouting staff, or they just grab guys off the NHL CS listings.

Winners: (Ironically these are my 3 favorite teams) Avalanche, Hawks and Penguins

Detroit got Brendan Smith, Zack Torquato and Joakim Andersson, all guys who various sources had as, at the most, late 1st rounders.

They just keep doing it and doing it.

Pittsburgh, Chicago and the Rags are up here as well.

The Jackets got Mayorov.

I think they did well for themselves getting Voracek (many feel is a top 4 talent), Mayorov, and Legein. They also got a project defensemen Weber and high energy wing Hansen.

Not the best draft, but above average.

I would say the Hawks did the best.

lol at this worthless win/lose process in the same day as the draft. Could we at LEAST wait for the end of the training camps.(Or the normal 4 years process...)

We really can't say until a couple of years from now....

Maybe some of these teams really saw something in some of their picks, most of us haven't even seen most these kids play!

The draft isn't a contest to draft the most players that people have been talking about.

"OMG you got 4 flashy forwards that are highed high!!! You winzzz!!!!!!!!!11"

Winners and losers are based on armchair scouts mock drafts, just search old thread and you will see that past winners are actually losers

Dean Lombardi got the guy he wanted. Looking at his OVERALL draft he had a good draft. I am happy with it. Cant call him a loser!

Well he went off the board. Hfers thought he was a 20th pick at best they pick him 16 spots higer then he should and they didnt pick players they were high on so he's a loser.

If he turns out being a great PP specialist they'll say Lombardi is a god if not they'll say he should get fired. It's always been like that and it wont change anytime soon.

Montreal wasn't a loser. They got the players they wanted - that means they won, simple enough. Any team that picked everyone they wanted won on this day. That may change in four-five years, though.
