Had a sensational year
Hell yea, big get boys.
Awesome signing. Dominated on a pretty bad NCAA team.
He's pretty nasty. Crafty little player.
I like this, not sure he has top flight NHL potential, but this is still a good gamble.
Very nice. Now go get Wolff.
Great signing for you guys. Terrific player.
Hell yeah, nice free asset. At this point why not throw as many darts as you can? Worst case he adds some depth to what should be an excellent Griffins team come playoff time
For those of us that bemoan the shift over shift passing, I have watched games where this kid doesn't hit anything but the tape in stride for the full 60. Tremendous passer of the puck, with plus viison in my opinion. I would guess he will draw in for Zadina in terms of once he goes back.
By the way if both of these guys can be optioned down, the Griffins are looking pretty tough to beat at the AHL level this year in the playoffs. I hate the 5 game opener, but after that with balance good luck dealing with the amount of talent they are about to throw over the boards at that level. We have really good vets and some really good kids that will be down there. I am really excited to watch that run.
Are those two forwards we signed today for depth in GR or do they have any chance of playing for the wings? Also can we sign some D or G prospects?
much more excited about hirose than i am kuffner. hirose produced at an elite level in the ncaa on a bad team. worst case scenario is nothing because he is free.
Holy he's coming straight to Detroit
They both are
Well, now I guess I have a reason to watch the remaining games so thats good.
sorry im just shocked lol
Nice... See what the 2 can do
So who is sitting? And this is actually exciting more kids to watch
Nice. Seems to be excellent playmaker, hope for next Johnny Hockey.
That would be absolutely incredible. To get a player like that for free.
Yzerman already on the job?
I like the Hirose signing, not sure about the other kid.
Assigning both directly to the NHL is one of the most pro-tank things I’ve seen this franchise do to date (no disrespect to these kids).
all due respect to hirose i highly doubt it. gaudreau was drafted before his freshman year at boston college and he averaged 1.0 ppg and averaged 2.0 ppg in his junior year. hirose's highest ppg was 1.39.
So basically we're so bad we could dangle ROS NHL roster spots to these kids, who otherwise probably never sniff the NHL again. Win-Win. Lose for Hughes!
