The rumors out of Detroit right now are the Wings have agreeded to a rather large trade that will shake up the franchise. Not many details have been leaked but rumors are it involves Versteeg and 3 other pieces in a 3 for 3 trade. Stay tuned for more details as the news breaks.

The Wings have shored up there defense. The Wings send Mikael Backlund, Ondrej Palat, and Kris Verstegg to the Flyers in exchange for Luke Schenn, Chris Stewart, and Stephan Elliot.

It was tough giving up guys like Palat and Backlund they are both good young players. However to be able to add a young top 2 defender like Schenn we have to give up some aswell. Elliot also brings in a young defender who shows good potential to be a fixture on our blueline for years. Well Stewart is a slightly better version of Verstegg

Bazinga. If his last name was Smith he might be an afterthought, but as long as it's Schenn, he's going to hold some extra value.

Last whille hes been 18-20mins a game minus a few games. He has in Beurbes dog house for awhille but appears to be getting out of it.
