Duclair was offically flipped for Filip Westerlund

In Westerlund we hope to have a future top 4 dman in the making. Was hard to deal Duclair but we are happy with the return.

Landeskog and EDM 6th this year fell victim next. The return Sean Day, WPJ 1st 2019, Luke Kunin, and CGY 3rd(Curtis Douglas) 2018.

In Kunin we hope to have found a solid top 6 center for years to come. Winnipegs first will likely fall somewhere between 15-25 which should net us a decent prospect. Sean Day is a project defender who seems to have put aside his issues and is developing nicely outside shot he can be a top 4 dman in the future. And Curtis Douglas brings a hulking center prospect in which we hope he can slide into a top 9 role at some point.

Next up Cam Talbot pending approval has offically been dealt leaving Grubauer as the undesputied starter for Detroit

Gone Cam Talbot and Dillion Dube net return Jake Oettinger

Jon Gillies and Phillip Grubauer still being under 27 means Oettinger isnt needed to come in right away. He comes with a serious pedigree and like the NHL Dallas Stars the hope is he can become an elite NHL starter down the road.

The rebuild is in full swing with a good restocking of the cupboards. Next years first as we tear down more pieces will likely be a higher end pick so we hope.

Big pieces still on the block

Nick Leddy another 40 point season Leddy is in his prime he comes in with the ratings an capability to play top 2/4 on pretty much every team. Bonus is hes signed to a very cap friendly deal.

Gustav Nyqvist at 28 hes a proven 2nd/3rd liner capable of putting up 40-50 points. Signed to a reasonable deal in the era of 8million dollar players.

Ryan Spooner at 26 hes in his prime and for the first time in his career after a trade to New York has a chance to shine. He had 16 points in 20 games as a Ranger and looks to build off that momentum. At 71 ov hes not eye popping this year but he could be a darkhorse break out guy to hit 60points next season.

As always everyones on the block. Given how much salary i have shed teams looking to offload a bad contract can aslong as they make it worth my time
