Windsor to Mississauga is a breeze compared to Windsor to Erie or Erie to Mississauga. I've done all three drives. Windsor to Erie is a winding mess through Ohio. Erie to Mississauga is a 325km winding mess through the Niagara area; better hope for good weather or good luck lol

It is very obvious now that the players have given up on TL

I’m sure someone will post the reason Team is headed in wrong direction it’s all kinds of colourful reasons but watching tonight it was very obvious.

Continue...,

Something seems off, without question.

Disclaimer: Not an excuse. Just a factor.

The weather out there isn't exactly what you'd call "get out and go to a hockey game" weather. Ugly fog, nasty winds, and rain/freezing rain. I'm not surprised the crowd was low.
Not sure where you were coming from but when i got there tonight there was no rain and was pretty warm. Also wasn’t that windy until game was over. But that just me.

The game tonight wasn’t pretty. Saginaw didn’t impress me tonight at all. Our guys are passing when they should shoot on odd man rushes and then when they decide to pass it is behind or in guys feet. Kari i thought played well except for the last 2 goals. Those are saves you need in close games. Special teams still struggling a bit and did notice tonight that even tho Saginaw didn’t get a ton of shots they seemed to have easy time getting past first defender in our zone all night.

It had been raining all day, the fog was bad, and they had forecasted ugly wind. It was far from "let's go out and have fun" weather.

I give up. City people and what they think is bad weather. If a little rain is going to stop someone from going to a game or a little fog then they are serious fans. I really hope weather isn’t a reason for poor attendance tonight.

I think it was more the freezing rain that triggered this. Can’t be freezing rain when it is 50 out.

Trust me, this city HATES driving in anything but good weather. There's a reason I'm bald lol "oh, I see a snow flurry. Must do 20 in a 50." Ugh.

Yes those people drive me crazy. I hate city traffic on good days. I don’t know how you guys do it.

I thought Saginaw had the attitude of they get a couple goals early and the Spitfires wouldn't be much of a threat and that's how it pretty much played out. Shout out to Letowski for rewarding the nice rookie year of Cuylle and putting him with Boka. Letowski is going to die on that Boka hill. The PP is still horrendous. Seriously the Spits need a D like Wilde a guy who's confident with the puck, not afraid to knock people down and make a play with a boomer of a shot. Windsor doesn't have anyone close to resembling that on D.

Seems that there are a fair share of people here that certainly don't like Letowski for a myriad of reasons. If the players have given up on Letowski that's on the players though and an indictment of them. Coaches are hired to be fired but there are numerous players on the roster in their draft eligible year. Those guys should be busting their butts every night to be noticed by scouts. Yes Letowski has weird line combos, the PP stinks. That doesn't prohibit players from showing effort though and playing well. It's not on Letowski when players shoot instead of pass and pass instead of shoot. Maybe there's a portion of the roster that has very poor hockey IQ. I have said for the past 6-7 weeks this isn't just a Letowski issue, this is a roster issue, this is a management issue. Only Rychel can figure it out though.

Every team could benefit from having a player like Wilde but I know what your saying. He makes everything seem effortless out on the ice
First half of that game had me wondering why I bothered going. Not much to add. I felt from the get go TL coached to lose a close one. Why split the only 2 players that have chemistry. Start what is our backup atm against the better teams. Not that he played bad, he made some nice stops but a few of the goals were soft especially that 4th. Those type of goals really crush a team.

So with 15 games left in the season Windsor will be in a tough fight to make the playoffs.

Do they finish 8th or 9th in the conference?

How many points do they end with?

Where do they draft from?

Honestly I think Erie catches them. They have three games in hand and I don't think Windsor finishes with 56 points, only 5 more wins.

Looking at the overall standings I think Barrie and Erie both pass them with Windsor likely drafting 3rd overall.

A season that should have seen improvement has seen nothing close to that with the only real bright spots being a couple of individual players from last year improving and the 02 rookies that came in.

With those couple of exceptions this season has been a failure any way you look at it from management to the coaching to most of the players on the ice.

Once this season is done changes need to happen immediately.

I think that's true lol. I like Boka I think he's one of the best at his type of game and a fantastic 3rd liner. Too bad coach doesn't play him there.
If you look at last nights game or any number of games Boka is what he is, a great penalty killer and an every day 3rd liner. He also is the guy that TL plugs into a line when that line is not going well.
Last night Cuylle for instance was not playing well. He uses other players in the same manor. I'm not a great fan of TL but what do you do to fix things if the team doesn't seem to be playing their A game.
One thing to keep in mind is we have a number of guys not used to playing the minutes they are getting. The team is playing with a short bench as well. Would I like to see a couple extra bodies...certainly.
The next 2 games against Erie & Missy will be difficult being on the road with a short bench. IMHO

In the newspaper today. TL thought the lines of his "top 6 were getting a bit stale" hence his reason for the line juggle. I think his coaching is stale but unfortunately I can't juggle the coaches. And of course his usual textbook comment "we're playing better than our record shows" I must need a seat right behind TL so I can see the game from his view. Certainly looks different from my seat. I thought Saginaw played only as hard as they needed to too win. Came out hard. They relaxed and after Foudy scored they once again put their foot on the gas. A lot of top teams take us lightly . We seen what London can do to us a couple of weeks ago. Made their statement about a possible 1st round match up against them.

With the schedule being a bit easier for last 15 games i think spits sneak into 8th. Quite possibly 7th if they put a string together.
However at what cost? They get the luxury of playing london or soo. Not teams they want to face. Cant just tank now. Sth are already mad. They r stuck at what to do.

Don't think the coaches/players will tank per se, I simply think they don't have it in them to put it together and make the playoffs. There appears to be too many issues and the team simply doesn't know how to work through them and the coaches don't have the ability to get them through it.

I also think with the unwillingness to bring in enough bodies to fill the line up and if there is anyone considering a higher draft position at this point it's the one who makes the decision to bring in the extra bodies, that's not the players or the coaches.

With only 7 wins in our last 39 games statistics show we are heading quick to 9th place. 3 games still left with Sarnia the key. Next week we'll have that answer after the back to back.

I am sure you meant 17 wins in last 39 games not 7,they didnt start the year 14-0.
