He had 15 goals last season and has been an NHL invite to camps. He's got the talent.

He better catch on fire than.
1 this year.

Did you read what I posted or just throw random words up there to continue the debate?

Like I said, bottom nine is fine. That's his niche. He'll put up the points if he's not supposed to be "the guy" to do so.

3rd line mostly, 4th line occasional
NO way should he be in the first 2 lines.
He gets enough ice time killing penalties.
But if he is hurt, than give him a healthy scratch a few games.

Well i’m pretty sure he was invited for more what he can do defensively then offensively. I’d say he is more 15 goal type player with shutdown forward as his primary job and PK duties. Don’t like seeing him out on the PP

Like I said Boka and all other players on this team need to be used in ways where they can contribute in ways that takes full advantage of their skill sets.

People aren't upset with Boka per se, they are upset with how he is being used which is on the staff.

Boka gives it all he's got but being asked to contribute offensively is not his game. That's not to say he can't but he needs to be in a position to play his game and take advantage of the situations he can generate from a position of strength. Trying to play with more offense first players as a defensive specialist is a lose/lose situation for all involved.

This is where poor coaching decisions is costing this team.

Gordeev has one career fight and he lost it pretty easily to a much smaller guy. It's laughable but reality. Maybe he'll go tomorrow, instead... and I almost said that with a straight face

I still believe the lineup needs to be set for good. Figure out how to do that and... just do it.
I don't remember him losing that fight EASILY...maybe I'll try and find it and rewatch it, but yeah, he wasn't gonna go there. I don't think it would have ended well if he did. Other fanbases always suggest acquiring him and I often wonder if they've actually watched him play. He's no Logan Stanley despite his size and superior skating.

Boka on the top 2 lines and PP is square peg in round hole. You're right fans aren't upset at Boka necessarily, people just don't get why he's being utilized in those roles. Of course he's limited to begin with offensively and Letowski keeps putting him out there. I don't think we can be surprised though Letowski did put Foudy-Morgan out in OT against Hayton-Frost. The players are trying but what are the coaches doing to try and put the players in the best situation for success?

There was a lot of talk that other teams had faced Flint a few times and Windsor didn't get their crack. Well you still have to take advantage of it. Windsor isn't talented enough just to put in the effort they did tonight and expect a good result.

Of course, but the point was more that two goals in 25ish games isn't what he's capable of and we all know that. He's not going to be a 30-goal pro guy anytime soon, but he's more than able to score 20-25 at the OHL level.

I re-watched it and, while it wasn't a "clear" win for the other guy, Gordeev definitely needed some tips on how to use his size well. He looked like a deer in headlights. (which is unfortunate because he has all kinds of potential with that size)

Well make up your mind. You said before he a 15-20 goal guy. Now he is a 20-25 goal guy. We better stop this conversation before he is a 25-30 goal guy. I’m hoping he get on a hot streak and does get to 20. Maybe if we all complain enough he will start putting up points like Douglas has. I know not a good comparison as both are different type of players but one can hope lol

He better start putting up points if Letowski insists on making him a top line guy or Letowski is the only one that looks bad in the end. Boka took a big jump in points last year he also started out extremely hot 13 points in his first 17 games. He's probably a lot closer to what he did during the last 47 games last year and along the lines this year even though he should get an uptick at some point. He has a lot similarities to Purboo imo, Purboo has a better shot but both are extremely streaky. Unfortunately that's not a good thing because usually you need your 19 year olds to be your best players night in and night out.
