Meh. It's true.

There is ZERO chance he's start ahead of Matthews, Tavares or Kadri.
He wouldn't be behind Kadri. Not anymore, anyway.

And Nylander is most certainly not a "WAY better version" of Horvat. They're not even close to being the same type of player and you'd never see Bo Horvat pulling the double flamingo.

How? Let's see your boy Horvat crack 60 points first. Bill Nylander is a ppg first liner starting next year. Bo is a solid #2 center (or bottom tier #1 if you will). Things he has on Nylander: position, defense. The thing is Nylander at his best will be two or three tiers better than him in scoring. He's a possession beast. Extremely talented. He sits out 10 games and you forget all this? Easily Nylander now and Nylander in the future.

"Let's see Horvat score 60 first"

"But Nylander is already a ppg scorer next year".

What on Earth are you talking about? Two to three tiers? Give me a damn break, the guy is spoon-fed sheltered offensive minutes on Matthews' flank. Horvat plays with far inferior line mates and put up a 56 point pace last year, that's only a whopping 5 points fewer than nylanders career high. While nylander's tricks end there horvat actually does other things too rather than just score points. He's just overall a much more useful player than nylander and is no slouch offensively, anyone with half a brain takes horvat at this point and I'm sure most gms in the league would agree as well.

Not a fair poll.
One guy plays with a generational perennial Selke level center while the other guy plays with Tim Schaller, Baertschi etc as his wingers.
:sarcasm:

not to mention gets saddled with faceoffs and d zone starts vs the other teams best. Id take Bo in a 7 game playoff series every day of the week, he wont flamingo or crumple when the going gets tough.

If Horvat actually had the defense and physicality people attribute to him, then I might take him, but as of now, Willy is the better player. I do think Horvat's willingness to go to the net, while Nylander is a little too on the perimeter at times makes it closer than the stats show though

Horvat is better than Kadri dude.
Accept it.
Horvat was better last year in
CF% 5v5
GF% 5v5
Better HDCF% 5v5
Better HDGF% 5v5
He kills penalties and Kadri doesnt
Better P/60 5v5
Better A/60 5v5
Better GAP (goals above replacement)
Better CF% rel 5v5
And he dominates him in Primary Points.

[mod] Voted Nylander because he's a 1st line player whereas Horvat is ideally a 2nd line player.

Horvat doesn't have the one thing that holymakiner determines whose better. The leaf crest in the middle of the jersey.
