You have Bill Hajt and don't use him in your PK1 unit. o_O
But why?

Fair point, I’ve been struggling with taking jc off the pk entirely, but it’s probably worth letting him focus more on ES

Not sure if Velociraptor is gonna post his roster or not so figured I’d post my thoughts on our rosters tz.

A big similarity in our rosters is splitting our top 2 d. Put circumstances are a little different though. Since I have a lesser number 1 but better number 3 (at least in my eyes). Also with my number one being on my second pair, but I ha e less of a true number one and more of a top three by committee.

One of my coaching decisions would be to move bathgate up and down the top 3 lines against your team to try and get him away from Pronger at times. Would love to watch prime Pronger v prime Espo though.

Will post more later!

Unsurprisingly I think I have a big advantage in net. That said I think one of the reasons that Fuhr has won the ATD a couple times just comes down to him being a really difficult guy to get a read on. I alternate on what I think of him all the time. He’s the exact type of guy that I feel I can prove he’s better than he gets ranked and then the next day I feel I can’t could show how he is worse and neither even requires much research.

Either way I’m not sure what the consensus would be on our team defenses (I feel like they are roughly equal personally) but I think if my team D is viewed as a notch or two below by anyone that Hasek should make up the difference in my favour.

I would probably try to match up my Holik or Starshinov lines against your top line with Pronger/Suchy and have Prongermayer play the important minutes and important kills. Tougher to do on the road against Bowman so Pulford/Niedermayer would have to handle that. I think any of my lines could handle an Espo matchup. I have toughness on all three d pairings as well depending on what rules and if Espo has to be cleared out.

Fuhr always was an enigma to my mind. He was the best goalie in the world for several years. To me Hasek is the GOAT talent-wise so I agree. It’s been argued here at length that Fuhr is the last of that tier of goaltender in ATD, so I’m comfortable with him. I think my D is deep and balanced and my bottom two lines could match with almost anyone with Pronger behind them.

I think the speed on my Pp2 has an edge over your pk2. I would have Pronger out there on PK1 vs Espo of course.

Your bottom 6 would probably match up well vs any of my lines but Beliveau/Bucyk/Pronger is a load for anyone ina matchup. And my second line has blinding speed so I’m guessing JC has to handle that but not sure Conacher is up to it or your other two pairs.

On the road I would go more with Boivin/Leduc because of the Espo factor.

Jarvis was a wizard on the draw but I hav two right handed centers so that takes the edge off. You would start with the puck vs my pp1 quite a bit tho

Voting is now open for the regular season of the ATD and will close on Sunday, April 1st at midnight EST. Please send your votes to @Theokritos.

Please vote for each division separately. You may, if you wish, compare the teams to teams outside of their divisions in order to rank them, but this is neither required nor encouraged.
