The Ducks will check in with his agent as they will have some cap space and a need for a top d-man, but they won’t be offering $9 million.

Jets would benefit from his services but I doubt he ends up on the Jets......either he will want too much or just wants to be in the USA.

He’s still probable to re-sign in Carolina. I’m starting to think it’s getting less and less likely, but it’s a definite possibility and I think both the team and he prefer him to stay. We’ll see.

If he wants $8M per year then I don’t think it will be the Canes giving that to him.

If Hamilton wants to come back to Canada and be #1 rd jets are perfect for him

Can Vancouver fit him?
No cap space. Would need to lose Myers or Eriksson in the ED plus move a contract. They have to pay rfas in Pettersson, Hughes and Demko. The ufa contracts coming off the books this season covers that with nothing to spare for a big add.

He is likely going to go for a premium, one of the better goal scoring defenders in the league.

Probably a 8.5 x 7 deal.

It is also to be noted that he will only be 28 at the time he becomes UFA.

Jersey would be my prediction. For Flyers to get involved someone expensive would have to be taken in the ED.
