No team has scored more than 90 power play goals in a single season in the past 10 years. Although the Leafs have an elite PP unit (or potentially 2), they drew the second fewest penalties in the league last year. Tavares over JVR would probably improve their penalties drawn just based on their history, but realistically the Leafs probably won't draw nearly enough penalties to come close to 100 or even 90.

I don't think you realize how ridiculous of a number 100 PP goals would be. You're talking about well over a 40% conversion rate on the PP. The leafs will be very good on the PP, but not that good.

Good job OP,you’ve managed to make poll options sound like it’s either a success for the Leafs or success for the Leafs for trying.

So if they get 60ish goals on the PP, is that considered just falling short?

Some major Leafs shilling.
