Leafs top 6 goal scorers have 34, 29, 21, 18, 17, and 15 goals. Matthews missed some games so I'll bump him up - call it 35, 34, 21, 18, 17, 15.

Jackets have 34, 28, 24, 23, 22, 22.

35, 34, 21, 18, 17, 15
34, 28, 24, 23, 22, 22

35, 34, 21, 18, 17, 15
34, 28, 24, 23, 22, 22

Similar results if you add in the rest of the roster, the Jackets end up with more goals. I think Tampa has a few more. I'm not sure how else we are supposed to quantify firepower other than adding up goals.
nylander didnt start until midway through the season. kadri is having an off year

I voted no - I think Jarmo went out and took the next best asset from Panarin (Duchene) knowing that would drive up the price on Panarin.

I like the all in move, but I think it is way too risky to potentially lose everything and have no draft picks to fall back on.

Now if we don't get the right price for Panarin I understand it, but very risky.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with both Winnipeg & Nashville running out of options.

Is Wayne Simmonds enough for either to feel satisfied? I think not :naughty:

I for one am alternating between thrilled and grumpy with the deadline so far. My #1 team keeps upstaging my #2 team. :scared:

I think Jarmo sealed the deal that Panarin stays when he came out and said he wouldn't trade Panarin for straight futures. That makes a deadline deal almost impossible.

What happens when #1 fleeces #2 ...when #2 gets desperate

Unfortunately, I agree with this. I completely don’t agree with this approach but this is the reality.
