Right now Ovechkin has 678 goals and Crosby has 451 (a 50.33% difference) in the same number of seasons.

When their careers are both finished, will Ovie have over 50% more goals than Crosby? Make a prediction.

Mostly due to injuries, unfortunately. We were robbed of a lot of prime Crosby (similar to his predecessor) whereas Ovi is just a straight up tank.

Assuming they remain elite players until the end of their career, I predict Ovechkin to end up around 850 goals and Crosby 600 goals.

So no

It's possible. If he does though, then it will only be due to the time that Crosby has missed with injuries. Ovechkin is clearly a higher tier of goal scorer than Crosby, but he's not 50% better than him in that department. Crosby averages 38.5 goals per 82 games. He's a great goal scorer by any stretch of the imagination. Meanwhile, Ovechkin averages 50 goals per 82 games.

Easily. Ovechkin stays healthy.
In the last decade the most games he's missed in a single season is 4.

Health and when they retire will be big factors obviously, but ignoring those, I doubt it, as just mathematically it seems more likely Crosby will stay closer to his goal average than Ovechkin will to his because it's more difficult to maintain an elite level. Just as the gap in their PPG will probably go down with more time.
