I promise, this will be my last one of these Avs first line related threads for a while.

Third and a very important player of Avs first line. Landeskog has never scored more than 65 points in a season, and that was back in 2013-2014. He had a very very good season last year when he got 62 points but it was a lot less than his line mates got. He does the heavy lifting in that line tho, while Mikko n MacK usually do most of the scoring (at least 2017-2018 this was the case).

Obviously he has started the year excellently, getting 12 points in the first 9 games of the season. I don't think he will keep up his ppg (or ppg+) pace for the rest of the season, but I think 70 points is doable. Do you think he will reach it? I do.

Over 70 under 80 imo. Depends how much Rantanen and Mackinnon drive the line

Voting yes, partly because I want it to happen, but also because it looks like he’s taken his game to another level this season, but also because it looks like every player on his line is a difference maker that usually yields results.

I think so. He’s 25 and in his prime, a critical cog on one of the very best lines in the league. No reason to think he can’t hit 70 even if this does become a career year.

It's very possible. He's been over 60 twice now. If 70 is ever going to happen this seems like a likely year with how MacKinnon and Rantanen are playing.

Real question is will 70 points be the most ever scored by a 3rd line grinder?

Would be surprised to see him put over 80, I expect around 75 for him given his hot start and great linemates.

I voted MacKinnon over 100 but Skog under 70. 29% shooting % is crazy, previous career high 62 points, physical guy and injuries happen.

His shooting percentage is inflated because everything he touches is going in right now. He obviously won't keep this pace up, but if he can stay involved with rants and Mack, he could push 70.

no because 70 points on top of his two way game, intangibles and truculence makes him a top 8 winger in the league.. which he's not

I think 70-75 is his ceiling. He could do it in his best year where everything goes right. So far he’s had the proper start for it, but I’m just not betting on it happening.

MacK and Rantanen will sail away and score 80-100 points each. Landy will score 65 but fits there so well.

Does every bit of hard work on that line and suffers endless amounts of punishment in front of the net. The least credited member of that line, but not an ounce less important than the other two when it comes to that line's success.

Ya like that goal against the Canes in which the pass bounced off the guy and back to him, giving him a wide open net with the goalie having no chance.

I think a career year for Landy sees him maaaybe at 70. If he can consistently be "just a 65ish" point player, he does so many other things that he doesn't need to be a 70 point guy.

Yeah it was lucky. You have to be playing hard and creating chances to get lucky though. He's been great. His career high is I think 28 goals. He could smash that if Mack/Rants stay healthy.

Tell him that. He could absolutely push 70 playing on that line. He's also one of the best in the league at tips and redirects.
