Only five different players have ever done it, so I wanna say probably not, but scoring looks like it's only increasing.

Well, it would probably take a Lemieux / Gretzky type of talent, but forever is a long time, so yes, there will be another one on their level.

As soon as a guy hits like 70-80 he will be a target of the league. I don't see it happening anymore.

I think it's possible, but I still voted no.

Need some consistency in terms of players reaching 100+ on a consistent basis.

I think first and foremost, we need to see a player that can hit 120+ points (1.5PPG).

I think it will happen and sooner than you think. The league is doing everything it can to increase goals and it's working. McDavid is the best bet right now but the league is producing stars right now like never before. Young talent is everywhere in the league right now which is great for the game.

The highest modern (since the 2005-2006 season) point total belong to Joe Thornton with 125 points. 29 goals 96 assists... !!!
On top of my head, since that time, Jagr 123, Crosby 120, Malkin 113, Ovechkin 112 Mcdavid 108 Kane 106.
150 is a stretch. unless we see about 130, I don't believe someone can get so many points ahead of everyone.
Unless it is a Lemieux/Gretzky Type. The salary cap makes it more difficult to surround star players with talent. Too many teams, talent level is diluted compared to previous eras.
As some said, depends on if the rules keep going toward more scoring.

I think it certainly is possible. I have a feeling that we will see such a thing happen over the next 10 years already.

OV and Crosby at their peak couldn't even hit 150 over an 82 game span (even spanning seasons) -- their highest were almost equal (133-135 over 82 games), so no. Even the great CM won't

And if there's a better player than any of those three?
