The Canes brought in Lack and Darling to become their new starter and both imploded big time. I get most fans would be scared of Grubauer coming into the picture as he isn't proven yet. But unlike Lack and Darling, there's one thing Grubauer is vastly different. Grubauer has very good goalie fundamentals. He can track the puck, control his rebounds, move the puck very well and has good positioning. Darling and Lack as we all know are terrible in those categories.

He's gonna be 27 early next season, needs a new contract, and probably won't be cheap to acquire. I don't know what the solution is, but I don't think this is it.
