Buffs courage is much appreciated, but the thing is.. no need of it or anything else, just pass it to Laine for onetimer is best option everytime

While I agree with this Buff has to shoot some of the time to keep the opposition PK honest. This what Wheeler does so brilliantly as the QB of the PP. He can and does pass to Laine in a cross pass or to Scheifele in the middle or back to the point or will shoot himself if he is open. The PK never knows what he will do which always gives him options that he has the hockey sense to see and capitalize on. The PK never knows what Wheeler is going to do so they inevitably leave someone open which Wheeler will find and create a great scoring chance. Wheeler is deffinitly in the top 3 PP specialist in the league if not the best.

I fully agree the Wheeler part, rest not so much. Tell Ovechkin and Backstrom need of 'honest'

Morrissey LHD is better for setting up Patty for the 1 time, rather than RHD Buff.

Morrissey has better hockey IQ over Buff which is better for the Pp. Buff has mad skills but doesn't always make good choices.

Morrissey should be the first PP option for the lone Defenceman and also first out on the 3 on 3 overtime. Buff should not see the ice in overtime..... Buff has mad unique skills that can win the game for us in OT, but OT is an endurance race of skating and that s not were Buff shines. He gets caught on the ice exhausted and becomes nothing more than a pylon.
Good post! Been saying this for a year now, Jmo is perfect for pp1. Kid can rip it too, is accurate and shoots with head up. His passing and iq are going to make that PP even better. And Buff is nice addition to Pp2.

Why the Jets’ PP1 is unstoppable

Nice article. I read that and think on my hilariously dumb takes on the PP from last season. Why you not pass the puck to Patrik all the time you morons! Pate good shooting but you not pass to Pate! (Well maybe Buff took a few too many low % shots from the point, as that is the lowest probability play to score if I'm not incorrect [thanks to garret9 I actually know something, well sort of at least :D ])

Wheeler is doing a damn fine job not only quarterbacking the PP, but masking his intentions when doing so as well. It's basically the opponents choosing how they want to die.
Really too bad it fell apart in the playoffs against Vegas.

The other major advantage with Morrissey on the point is defense. He won't be taking some of the chances & gambling likeBuff does, and he has the speed to catch up to the play if he makes a mistake (which seems like almost never)
Yep, but downside is that we're gonna have to pay Morrissey 8x8 now with all the numbers he'll be putting up.

Jets PP1 is very far from being unstoppable, so it's a bit hilarious to have an article telling why it's unstoppable.

I would like to see an article telling how predictable the Jets PP1 is and how much it relies just Scheifele and Laine being pretty good shooters for their respective spots.
