I'm going way out into left field on the practice diamond. I think they sign Cam Russell, current GM of the Halifax Mooseheads, to lead the new regime. Long-shot for sure as Russell is the GM of his hometown team, but the Mooseheads have been an impressive Major Junior team for years. As a bonus, I think former Moosehead's head coach and current Habs assistant Dom Ducharme will be the Oilers new head coach. It will be the worst kept secret in Edmonton, but the official announcement won't come until Wednesday May 29th, a couple of days after the Mooseheads win the Memorial Cup on home ice with Oiler prospect Ostap Safin winning the MVP of the tournament after a disappointing injury riddled season(is he even coming back this year?)

Green and Howson will be gone. I don't expect MacTavish to go, mainly because I believe he is a very good talent scout - but he will have zero say in the day-to-day operations.

By no means do I expect any of this to happen, but I do expect the actual hiring to be an off-the-board hiring if the Oilers do in fact do their due diligence in looking for a candidate that will completely change the losing culture.
