Who's the best scorer furthest away from the goal line?

I was just wondering, who would have the most goal scored closest to the blueline? I would think logically it would have to be a defenceman...then again most of their shots are redirected. Any ideas how one would go about finding this out?

I can't picture a stat that captures ice positioning for goals going back many years?

ps: Ron Hextall doesn't count (I'm interested in goals scored within the offensive zone)

Not much of an analysis at all, but it pretty much has to be a guy who plays the point on the powerplay.

Shea Weber leads all defensemen in goals over the last 3 years: http://www.hockey-reference.com/pla...3val=&c4stat=&c4comp=gt&c4val=&order_by=goals

Mike Green and PK Subban were 1-2 last season.

It's possible that a forward who plays the point (Kovalchuk before he "retired?") would have more though.
