Laine is a much better shooter, albeit they are comparables as goal scorers.

Laine has the better overall shot.

They are equal goal scorers though. Literally have the same number of goals on there careers. You could say Matthews did it in a few less games due to injuries. but he also came into the league more developed.

Better? Laine. He scores his goals further away on average and Matthews couldnt do that with his shot. Which one uses their shot more effectively is the real question I think. That we know is Matthews at the moment. Last season Laine.

Laine is a better shooter. He scores goals with his shot alone from much further out than Matthews does.

Matthews is the better scorer, he has more tools that he uses and creates goals through multiple approaches. He can score with his shot from a distance or use his elite hands in close.
