Assuming he wins this season, rockets since OV entered the league in 05/06

Ovechkin: 8
Rest of the NHL: 6

Not sure why anyone else has a vote lol

Ovi until he retires. Even if he won’t win for the next two seasons I will still vote for him again.

I'd take the field over a 34 year old Ovie for sure, but if I had to pick one it's still him.

Maybe Matthews second.

Being an Oil fan, I've gotta believe that Edmonton can only be better next year, so I'll go with Drai.
Understand 100% if you choose Ovy, but if you choose someone other than Ovy or Drai know that I'm laughing at you right now.

Why would anyone bet on anyone besides Ovechkin. Best goal scorer of all time and never gets hurt. His to win.

any answer other than Ovechkin is silly until proven otherwise

if anyone in the league deserves the benefit of the doubt for anything at this point it's Ovechkin for the Rocket

if he manages to hold on to his lead over the last few games of the season and win again this year he'll have literally won 6 of the last 7 maybe think about that before penciling anyone else in to beat him

Getting 50 goals, Laine, DeBrincat, McDavid, Draisaitl, Point, Stamkos, and a few other guys can get it done I think.

Winning the Rocket, I'll go Matthews then Pastrnak, IF Ovechkin doesn't win it again.

And another 4 times he's been top-5. Crazy consistency in such high compete era.

Honestly, I love my guy AM, and he has all the ability to be great, but he needs to stay healthy and engaged to win anything.

For me it's

Ovie
MacDavid
Drai

Why would you laugh at people for choosing someone other than Ovi/Drai?

Ovechkin is due to stop being the best eventually, and Drai is not heads and shoulders above the rest of the pack?
- Tavares is literally tied with him in goals, along with 3/4/10 place finishes in the last 7 years
- Stamkos is only 4 behind him, and has the next best goal scoring pedigree in the league other than Ovechkin
- Debrincat has been improving every year
- Matthews/McDavid/Arvidsson/Pastrnak are all extremely close in goals/gp

If Ovechkin were to retire this season, Drai would not be head and shoulders above the rest to be the favorite to win it next year. Top 5 for sure however.
